In its fifth conference match of the season, men’s rugby won decisively over the University of Buffalo, 122-10. Improving to 5-2 (4-1, Rugby East) with the win, 13 different players crossed the try line for the Nittany Lions.

Brendan McCabe, receiving his first start for Penn State, went 10-10 in conversion kicks, in addition to dotting down a try of his own.

Overall, the Nittany Lions managed 20 tries on the day. Captain Gabriel Tupper and vice-captain Mike Eife each accounted for two tries, respectively, as did Andrew Iscaro, Kevin Trotter, and Jimmy Haley.

Rob Irimescu, Sean Mahon, John McLean, Malcolm May, Jimmy Ronan, and Kiefer Kei-Boguinard were responsible for the rest of the Penn State scores.

Buffalo on the other hand, managed two tries for its first points of the year.

In the reserve-grade match, Penn State kept up with its winning ways, defeating Buffalo, 59-5 in an abreviated contest.

Next up for the Nittany Lions is newly reinstated University of Delaware, who travels to University Park on October 17. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
