MORGANTOWN, WV — Penn State outlasted West Virginia, 79-5, in the Nittany Lions (3-1, 2-0 Rugby East) first match under head coach Blake Burdette.  In total, the Nittany Lions saw ten players cross the tryline on the day to the Mountaineers one.

Tries were accounted for by Tyler May, Kiefer Kei-Boguinard, Mike Eife, Chris Burian, Rob Irimescu, Malcolm May, Jimmy Ronan, Andrew Iscaro, Kevin Trotter, and Dan Winkowski.  Ronan handled kicking duties for the team, with Brendan McCabe adding a conversion kick of his own.

By scoring more than four tries, Penn State secured a bonus point to remain in sole possession of second place in Rugby East.

Next on the slate for the Nittany Lions is division-leader Army West Point, who travels to University Park for a Friday night contest.  Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 6 PM.

A reserve-grade match is set to follow the conclusion of the first match.
