BUFFALO, NY – The day after playing St. Bonaventure at home, the Nittany Lions traveled to take on the University of Buffalo. The team traveled with an almost entire different team that played the night before. “Our goal for the weekend was to get guys some needed playing time and get two wins. We were able to accomplish both. We need to continue to build a program where we have depth and guys are fighting for spots,” said Head Coach Blake Burdette

Penn State (6-0, 4-0 Rugby East) was led by four tries from center Kiefer Kei-Boguinard and six other players each dotted down. Perhaps more importantly they kept Buffalo (1-3, 0-3 Rugby East) scoreless. “We are happy with the win and we got better today,” said match day captain Jack McLean. “Our defense was stingy and met our goal of keeping them off the board.”

The team will now turn their attention to league leading Army as they travel to West Point for a match next Saturday October 8th at 2 PM at the Anderson Rugby Complex
