The Penn State Women’s team landed in France this morning and after a little trouble at immigration managed to get everyone to the hotel by 1pm. This was later than we had hoped because of bad traffic in Paris. We had two pick-ups with a group flying from directly from JFK to Charles de Gaulle, and another group flying from Newark to Orly via Lisbon. The flights this year were very expensive and has put significant pressure on the budget.
This afternoon the players get to head into Paris and do some siteseeing. We will have a team meeting tonight to review the tour. Tomorrow we have a 9am practice/conditioning session before we go the Stade de France for the Stade Francais vs Clermont match. After the match we head to Loterot Farm, near Caen. The team will do 3 days of double practices before our first matches on Wednesday as the A side takes on Caen RFC and the B side travels to play Rouen.
