Penn State Women extended their fall record to 8-0, 3-0 in the Big Ten this past weekend. The women were on the road with back to back games against the University of Michigan on Saturday and The Ohio State University on Sunday. Despite the short turn around between games and challenging travel schedule the women came away with 78-0 and 91-5 victories respectively.

Through the weekend the team relied heavily on its depth and many young players were given the opportunity to develop and own their positions. Gabby Cantorna had an excellent kicking game Saturday making 9 out of 12 conversions combined with some well placed attacking kicks into Michigan’s 22. Not to be out shined, Prop, Hope Rogers executed 2 nice grubber kicks into the try zone to be dotted down by Taylah Pipkin and Rachel Campbell.

Overall tries were scored by Kacy Dux, Gabby Cantorna, Hope Rogers, Sophie Pyrz, Taylah Pipkin, Katie Mueller, Azniv Albandian, Tess Feury, Rachel Campbell, Robyn Mertz, Lyndsey Kelly, Brittany Mitchell, Scout Cheeks and Courtney Williams.

The women have their last away games this coming weekend versus The Pittsburgh Angels on Saturday and Indiana University on Sunday. IU is the only other undefeated team in conference play, the game is shaping up to be an exciting one.
