While the Penn State Women’s Rugby team is an elite program and a Team Sport at Penn State, it keeps many of the traditions of rugby. One tradition is the role of the players in the selections for games. Every semester the team elects a Captain, a forward Selector and a back Selector. These three players, along with the head coach, make up the selection committee and decide on selections for each game. The players on the selection committee are also responsible for giving feedback to players on selections.
Yesterday the team held elections for the fall:
Captain – Sadie Anderson
Forward selector – Kyle Armstrong
Back selector – Lisa Henneman
