Penn State’s opening match in the Sevens Championships did not goes as hoped, as the Nittany Lion ruggers lost to Bowling Green 22 – 12. Nerves and handling errors sealed the teams fate, as in sevens, there just isn’t enough time to overcome a lot of mistakes.
The good news is that today is another day, and the team has put that opening match behind them. Being a sevens tournament they realize that they are still very much in control of their own destiny, and are by no means out of the hunt for the title. The road is a little tougher, but they are focused, and anxious to redeem themselves!
First up is Utah this afternoon, then the showdown with Ohio State this evening, live on NBC.
