The Pennsylvania State University is seeking applications for the position of Coordinator of Rugby. The Coordinator of Rugby will assist the Director of Rugby in all necessary duties to run a successful elite club rugby program as a part of Penn State Team Sports.
Responsibilities of this job include ensuring all requirements and due dates for players eligibility paperwork are complete, assisting in the player board and officer development program, coordinating the academic advising program, and serving as a liaison to parents, alumni, and the community.
The Coordinator will work with the Director of Rugby to develop, solicit, and create fundraising sources and opportunities for the program. The Coordinator will also fill in for the Director of Rugby as needed and will have major responsibilities with the winter clinic and summer academy development. The Coordinator will assist both the Men’s and Women’s programs with responsibilities that include coaching, event management, risk management, recruiting activities, match scheduling, and travel. The Coordinator of Rugby reports directly to the Director of Rugby and the Manager of Team Sports.
Requires Associate’s degree or equivalent, plus three years of work-related experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Penn State offers an excellent benefits program. This is a fixed-term appointment funded through June 30, 2011 with excellent possibility of re-funding.
