After last years huge success, USA 7’s has announced that the second annual 7’s Collegiate Rugby Championship will take place at PPL park in Chester, PA this year on June 4th and 5th. Both days will feature live coverage of all games on NBC and NBC Universal as well as an online stream on Hulu.com. Penn State, along with Temple University, have been chosen to co-host the event this summer and as part of the announcement, both teams met at PPL park last Tuesday to put on a demonstration for the local and national TV cameras. The demonstration was then followed by a scrimmage where the nittnay lions were able to play against former NFL player and current NBC sports anchor Vai Sikahema. All in all in was a great day for the advancement of rugby in the US and we encourage everyone from all over the country to make plans to come cheer on the team this summer in what is sure to be a spectacular event.
