The Penn State mens team’s claims of this fall being a “Development” season have truly turned out to be accurate. “With multiple key returning players out due to injuries, all the matches we have played so far have seen many new players getting significant playing time” stated the coaching staff, “and it looks like that is starting to pay off”.

After two less than inspiring performances against a very aggressive Kutztown B and C  side, these young players put in a good week of work and convincingly beat a Doylestown mens team that unfortunately didn’t travel well that weekend. Regardless, the PSU side that faced them played a vastly improved rugby match on both sides of the ball, and the new patterns that we have been working on are starting to take their shape.

Next up is a match versus the University of Buffalo on Saturday October 16th. This up and coming program is well coached, and highly motivated to prove themselves. You can be sure they will come here ready to play, and will pose another stout challenge for this young group of Penn State ruggers.
