Penn State Rugby would like to welcome and introduce its newest staff member, Angela Johnson as our Director of Operations.  We are excited for the additional support and confident that Angela will help move Penn State Rugby forward in efficiency, professionalism and continued on and off field success.

Angela joins us in Happy Valley from her Hometown of East Norriton, PA . She is a sports enthusiast who brings years of experience working in municipal recreation as a program and special event coordinator as well as corporate meeting, conference and event planning.  Rugby became  a passion of Angela’s after playing at Temple University from 2002-2005 while pursuing a B.S. in Sport & Recreation Management.

Post DII National Championship win with Temple in 2004, Angela continued to immerse herself in rugby becoming a 200 level coach, a level 1 official and a member of the Eastern PA Rugby Union board.  From there she founded the Phoenixville White Horse Women’s Rugby Club and helped facilitate the organization and coaches the associated youth program.  She has and continues to be dedicated to legitimizing rugby as a mainstream sport in our region and across the USA.  We are grateful to have Angela’s dedication now geared toward the growth and improvement of Penn State Rugby.
